Anyone who’s heard Noah Kahan’s lyrics likely won’t be surprised to learn that the singer-songwriter gets vulnerable, personal, and real in Noah Kahan: Out of Body, his new Netflix movie that began streaming today. But they might be surprised to learn that much of the documentaries personal moments with Kahan revolve around his struggles with his body image and disordered eating.
Directed by Nick Sweeney (Santa Camp, AKA Jane Roe), the Noah Kahan documentary is framed around both Kahan’s sold-out 2024 performance at Fenway Park, and the lead-up to his upcoming new album, The Great Divide, releasing on April 25. Prior to his breakthrough 2022 hit single “Stick Season,” Kahan was a relative unknown. During the pandemic, the now-29-year-old moved back to his parents’ house in Vermont, where he began posting his videos on Tik Tok. “Stick Season” went viral, and the rest is history.
