Paramount+ is launching on Korean streamer Coupang Play.
Paramount Global Content Distribution has struck a licensing agreement with Korean e-commerce giant Coupang to launch a Paramount+ branded destination on the service. It will become available on Coupang Play early next year.
This comes after Paramount+ came off another Korean streamer, TVING, in June, having been available on that service following a deal in 2022.
Paramount+ currently has similar distribution deals in place with Cosmote in Greece, Streamz in Belgium, MultiChoice in Africa, JioCinema in India, Mono in Thailand, beIN in the Middle East and North Africa and Blast TV in the Philippines.
The local Paramount+-branded tile in Korea will offer content from Paramount+ with Showtime, CBS Studios, MTV Entertainment Studios, Nickelodeon, Republic Pictures and Paramount Pictures, including Dexter: Original Sin, the NCIS and CSI franchises, Fire Country, Halo, Star Trek: Discovery, The Affair and Tulsa King, along with kids
