EXCLUSIVE: Aasif Mandvi (Evil, The Daily Show), Rong Fu (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Hello (Again)) and Tricia Black (Small Achievable Goals, Pretty Hard Cases) have joined Peacock’s upcoming comedy, The Miniature Wife, in recurring roles. Details regarding their characters are under wraps.
They join series leads and executive producers Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen. Series regulars also include O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford with Sofia Rosinsky and Ronny Chieng serving in recurring roles in the series created and executive produced by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner (Boardwalk Empire, Goliath), who also serve as showrunners.
Based on the short story written by Manuel Gonzalez, The Miniature Wife is a high-concept marital comedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses Lindy (Banks) and Les (Macfadyen) after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis.
