The world will mourn Pope Francis, who passed away at the age of 88 on April 21, the day after Easter. The late leader of the Roman Catholic Church died of a stroke that put him into a coma and led to heart failure, according to the Vatican.
The late pontiff’s funeral takes place on Saturday, April 26 in St. Peter’s Square. His open casket is currently at St. Peter’s Basilica, where Catholics and mourners can pay their respects.
