Premeditated Productions Lands Five-Year Extension Of First-Look Deal At Amazon MGM Studios

EXCLUSIVE: Just a year into its first-look film and television deal with Amazon MGM Studios, Premeditated Productions has inked a five-year extension, taking their deal with the studio through the summer of 2032.

Premeditated was co-founded and launched in 2024 as an extension of Entangled Publishing, the publisher founded by CEO Liz Pelletier, as Pelletier partnered with producer Sherryl Clark (The Gorge, Cloverfield), to develop projects for screens big and small, based on Entangled’s extensive book catalog.

The extension is a reflection of an uncommonly productive relationship between the two companies: since forging the deal, Premeditated has set up over a dozen projects at Amazon MGM, including feature adaptations of #1 New York Times bestsellers Shield of Sparrows, Dragon Cursed, and A Stage Set for Villains, along with rom-com 69 Million Things I Hate About You, and teen time-travel comedy Repeat After Me.
