‘September 5’ Sets Paramount+ Premiere Date

Paramount announced this morning that its drama September 5, which is currently up for the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, will make its streaming debut on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on February 25. As is always the case with that streamer, the film’s availability in additional international markets will be announced down the road.

Directed and co-written by Swiss filmmaker Tim Fehlbaum, September 5 examines a decisive moment that forever changed media coverage and continues to impact live news today. Set during the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, the film follows the ABC Sports broadcasting team who quickly shifted from sports reporting to live coverage of the Israeli athletes taken hostage.
