At long last, the second season of Apple TV Plus‘ dystopian thriller Severance has arrived. 

This unsettling and irresistible drama follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott) and his colleagues at a fictitious biotech company called Lumon, who have undergone a brain surgery that separates their work and personal lives. When they’re in the office, they have no recollection of their lives outside, and vice versa. But strange things start to happen, including the sudden axing of a longtime colleague, which pushes Mark and his colleagues to question the company they work for and its motives. It’s a riveting commentary on work-life balance (or lack thereof), made stronger by understated yet memorable characters and a focused storyline.
