Starbucks had one shot at making a Hannah Montana-inspired drink in junction with the highly-anticipated 20th anniversary special, and they messed it up.
The coffeehouse chain announced its newest refresher flavor on Monday (March 23), appropriately titled the “Secret Popstar Refresher” in light of Hannah Montana’s 20th anniversary. However, diehard fans of the hit Disney Channel sitcom couldn’t help but notice the ingredients included in the new beverage. “Strawberry açaí meets a layer of raspberry cold foam,” the description reads.
To the average Joe, this may seem innocuous. But to those of us who grew up watching Hannah Montana, we know that there was an entire episode centered on Miley Stewart’s (Miley Cyrus) hatred of raspberries.
