We are now less than two weeks away from the Academy Awards, which means that the precursory awards season is wrapping up. On Sunday night, we got the last major ceremony before the Oscars in the 32nd Annual Actor Awards (formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards). The awards recognize the best on-screen performances from the past year in both film and television, with the top prize being the respective Outstanding Performance by a Cast awards; given to one movie, one TV drama, and one TV comedy.
The Actor Awards highlighted the breadth of incredible work done on screens large and small in 2025, as all four of the individual film acting awards were claimed by actors from different movies, with the six individual television acting awards being split amongst five series.
