EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is heading back to the wilderness.
The streamer has renewed Outlast, which comes from executive producer Jason Bateman, for a third season.
It comes after the second season, which consisted of eight episodes, premiered in September.
Deadline understands that the survival competition series is filming its third season. Season 1 was shot near the Neka River on Chichagof Island, Alaska, while the second season was filmed at Little Duncan Bay, Alaska, south of Petersburg.
The series features 16 lone-wolf experts who are dropped in the wilderness and must outlast one another in a battle for a million-dollar payout. There’s only one rule in this cutthroat game: They must be part of a team to win.
