Taylor Sheridan’s Oil Drama ‘Landman’ Renewed For Season 2 At Paramount+

Taylor Sheridan‘s latest epic, Landman, has officially been renewed for a second season on Paramount+.

The series, which first premiered on Paramount+ in 2024, stars Billy Bob Thornton as a fixer for an oil company in West Texas, where he juggles the dangerous responsibilities of his job — such as dealing with the local cartel — with his own family responsibilities. Sheridan helped adapt the story from the popular Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown, which explores how the West Texas oil boom, fueled by “billionaire wildcatters and roughnecks,” is reshaping national politics. Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Ali Larter, and Andy Garcia also star in the Neo-Western drama.

Thornton’s Season 1 performance already earned him a Golden Globe nomination, marking his seventh nomination.
