Hulu has a ton of thrillers that break through and dominate the conversation like “The Handmaid’s Tale” or its prequel series “The Testaments.” But every once in a while, there’s a show I watch that I feel like should be a bigger deal, but just isn’t. That’s how I feel about “The Patient.”
Tara and I actually had this one on our radar way before it dropped because she has a friend in the show, so we were excited going in. And honestly, it totally delivered for us. It’s quiet, intense, and built almost entirely on two performances that are hard to look away from. But it never really became a “must-watch” show for most people. If you’re looking for the best under-the-radar psychological thriller on Hulu, “The Patient” is my pick.
