The staff working the ED at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center is going to look a little different in The Pitt Season 3. Variety reports that star Supriya Ganesh is exiting the HBO Max show at the end of Season 2 and that Ayesha Harris is being upped to series regular in The Pitt Season 3. Ganesh has played empathetic and thoughtful Dr. Samira Mohan in The Pitt‘s first two seasons, while Harris has popped in both seasons as night shift Dr. Parker Ellis.
Variety writes that “[a]ccording to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Ganesh’s exit is a story-driven decision.” Residents routinely cycle in and out of the emergency department in hospitals.
