Spring has sprung, and with it, you’ll start to see all sorts of new growth in your backyard—possibly including The Woman in the Yard, the 2025 horror movie coming to digital platforms tomorrow.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (House of Wax, Carry-On), with a screenplay written by Sam Stafanak, The Woman in the Yard tells the story of a married couple (Danielle Deadwyler and Russell Hornsby) and their two children (Peyton Jackson and Estella Kahina) who live a peaceful life in a remote farmhouse. Or at least, it was peaceful until a mysterious woman in a black veil shows up in the family’s backyard, to warn them that “today’s the day.”
The Woman in the Yard was produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, and earned a respectable $21 million at the worldwide box office, off of a production budget of around $12 million. So is it surprising that Universal is releasing this horror flick
