So, the “Scream” franchise is back with “Scream 7,” and it’s killing (pun intended) at the box office. I’ve loved these movies since the very first one brought its self-aware, darkly comedic take on the slasher format. I’m not a massive horror guy, but the franchise never gets too gruesome, which I appreciate, and they stay fun. There’s a few movies like that on this list, along with a few much darker, brutal takes on the genre. Here’s my personal ranking of the best slasher movies you can stream right now, without spoilers.
