Trump Announces Former Fox News Contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier As New Surgeon General Nominee

Radiologist and former Fox News opinion contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier will be nominated by Donald Trump for surgeon general, putting an end to speculation over whether the president’s previous pick, Dr. Casey Means, could get Senate confirmation.

Saphier, director of breast imaging at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s facility in Monmouth, NJ, and a regular commentator on both Fox News and Fox Business, was described by Trump on Truth Social today as “a STAR physician who has spent her career guiding women facing breast cancer through their diagnosis and treatment while tirelessly advocating to increase early cancer detection and prevention.”

He added, “She is also an INCREDIBLE COMMUNICATOR, who makes complicated health issues more easily understood by all Americans.”
