Hulu has a relatively light slate of original and holiday content coming in December (though viewers can stream nearly 1,800 episodes of unscripted reality TV from series like Chopped to Tiny House Hunters). One highlight is the new standup special from Broad City co-creator Ilana Glazer: Human Magic (Dec. 20) that covers topics ranging from high school awkwardness to parenting.
For Hulu originals, there’s Light Shop (Dec. 4) is an adaptation of the titular webtoon, which brings together six strangers drawn to a mysterious light shop looking for answers. The four-episode K-drama premiere is also dropping on Disney+. Season four of Wild Crime: Eleven Skulls (Dec. 5) explores the 2012 disappearance of an 18-year-old barista in Alaska.
Another documentary worth catching is National Geographic’s Sugarcane (Dec. 10), which explores the impact of the investigation into abuse and missing children at an Indian residential schools on the community of Sugarcane Reserve.
