Outlander‘s final season finds Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) facing the reality that at some point, one of them will die. Jamie has discovered — by reading Frank Randall’s (Tobias Menzies) history book from the future — that he is supposed to die in a year’s time at a Revolutionary War battle at King’s Mountain. Is Frank telling the truth? Will Jamie actually die? Or is the Starz hit once again teasing Jamie’s death only to reveal he survives?
Outlander Season 8 marks the official end of Starz’s celebrated adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s books. While Galbaldon is still working on her version of Jamie and Claire’s story, the Starz show is coming to an end.
