Director Spike Lee‘s latest project has come to light, and fans are already buzzing over its nearly minute-long teaser trailer.
The upcoming film, titled Highest 2 Lowest, Denzel Washington stars as a “titan music mogul,” who gets “jammed up in a life-or-death moral dilemma” after he is “targeted with a ransom plot,” per the Apple TV+ press website.
Written by Alan Fox, Highest 2 Lowest — which is a reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa‘s 1963 crime thriller High and Low set in modern-day New York City — is the fifth film collaboration between Lee and Washington following Mo’ Better Blues (1990), Malcolm X (1992), He Got Game (1998), and Inside Man (2006).
