‘The Madison’ Episode 6 Recap (Season 1 Finale): I Am Stretched On Your Grave

For Stacy Clyburn and her life in New York City, anywhere she goes is a memorial service for Preston, and this is maddening. The signifiers of the partner she lost are everywhere, from his wedding ring and belongings when she looks in their bedroom, all the way to his aroma, his very essence, surrounding her in the home. Downstairs, at the coffee shop around the corner from their tony Upper West Side building, baristas who enjoyed getting advice from “Mr. Clyburn” look forward to seeing him again. And when Liliana arrives at the townhouse with an army of caterers for Preston’s actual memorial service – which she planned, as her friend remained aloof – Stacy only asks when the event is supposed to conclude.
