Former CBS News Correspondent Scott MacFarlane Talks About His Move To MeidasTouch: “It Felt Like An Inevitable Marriage, And A Good One”

Less than two weeks after making the surprise announcement that he was departing as correspondent for CBS News, Scott MacFarlane made another one on Monday: He’s joining MeidasTouch, the digital outlet that has made a mark with its biting content about Donald Trump.

MacFarlane is only the latest legacy media journalist to step into the growing space of podcast and social-media driven upstarts, this one unabashed in its point of view (its origins are in a political action committee) and one that has drawn an audience on the left that counters a slew of talking heads on the right. Last week, the MeidasTouch Podcast topped the YouTube charts, over figures like Joe Rogan, Candace Owens and Shawn Ryan.
