Colombian popstar Karol G will make history this weekend when she takes Coachella stage as the first Latina to headline the music festival in its 27-year run.
The “Verano Rosa” singer will perform some of her greatest hits on the Coachella Stage Sunday April 12. “I’m putting the pressure on myself to deliver something at such a high level so people can leave the show and say, ‘Karol was ready. She was more than ready for this,’” she said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “Now it’s on me and my work to deliver that, and I’m so committed to giving the best show ever.”
The performance will be the perfect cap on her “Tropicoqueta” era, which borrows heavily from several Latin genres. Rolling Stone also speculated the singer may bring out Kali Uchis, J Balvin or Bad Bunny – some of her most popular collaborators – as special guests. Karol
