How to Keep Your Plants Alive in Colder Temperatures

Plants are fickle. If you need proof, take a look at the dried remnants of ferns and philodendrons in my compost pile. Just about anything can end up taking out a plant. In fact, too much or too little water can cause them to rot or dry out, so you need to find the happy medium. 

During winter months, things are obviously more difficult — that’s why there are potted freeze-proof plants that can survive the cold and snow. But there are cool temperatures during the spring and summer thanks to crazy weather patterns, too. You’ll still need to be able to take care of them even when hotter seasons arrive for that reason.
