Most Meta platforms highlight “Stories” prominently, while WhatsApp has always called its version “Status” and tucked it away. Now, according to WABetaInfo—a site specializing in WhatsApp news—the app has been working on giving Status updates a much more visible spot.
Specifically, in one of the latest versions of WhatsApp, WABetaInfo noticed a change in how the swipe-down gesture works within the “Chats” tab. Previously, swiping down only let you filter conversations, such as all chats, favorites, or unread messages.
