Another Taylor Sheridan hit cracks Paramount+’s top 10 shows

Paramount+ is in a pretty fascinating spot right now. Taylor Sheridan, who’s been behind a huge part of the platform’s identity, is officially leaving for a massive new deal at NBCUniversal (details here). That’s a big deal, especially when this list is still packed with shows from his world, including “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Landman,” “Tulsa King,” and now “The Madison,” which just landed here after becoming Sheridan’s biggest launch ever.

That’s kind of the blessing and the curse for Paramount+. On one hand, Sheridan is still giving the platform monster hits right as he’s walking out the door. On the other hand, that just makes it even more obvious how much Paramount+ has leaned on him to define its original lineup. The service keeps the franchises, but the creative engine behind so many of them is moving on at the same time, Paramount is trying to close the deal
