The Jeopardy! franchise is expanding yet again with new sports spinoff ESPN Jeopardy!, from Sony Pictures Television. Hosted by Emmy winner Joe Buck, the spinoff, which had been rumored and is now confirmed, will stream on Disney+ and Hulu. A premiere date is TBA.
ESPN talent will feature as contestants on the series, representing charities of their choice as they compete in a tournament-style event for a $500,000 grand prize and title of ESPN Jeopardy! champion.
Billed as Jeopardy! for sports fanatics with material covering the full spectrum of ESPN content, ESPN talent will “face off to experience the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat in a new arena: the Alex Trebek Stage,” per Sony’s description.
