Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa returned to Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday with the tragic news that Consuelos’ father, Saul Consuelos, has died.
While Consuelos said it’s “nice to be back” on Live after two weeks away from the daytime talk show, he shared the “really, really bad news” of his father’s 23 passing after a “long bout with illness.”
“[He] passed away peacefully. Such a fascinating man,” he mourned.
Ripa added that her and Consuelos were “blessed” to know Saul.
“You have been blessed because you knew him your whole life,” she tearfully told her husband and co-host. “I only got to know my father-in-law for 31 years, but they were the best 31 years of my life.
