The View hosts debated the nature of Second Lady Usha Vance’s relationship with Donald Trump‘s Vice President J.D. Vance after learning Usha was a registered Democrat as recently as 2014.
The ABC talk show aired a clip from Usha’s recent interview with NBC in which she stated she feels “very comfortable” in her role as second lady within the Trump administration. “The expectation is that we are going to be open minded,” she said. “Even if we don’t agree, I think it’s always very productive.”
While Sara Haines speculated Usha could possibly get J.D. to rethink “some issues he doesn’t see from certain perspectives,” Sunny Hostin said, “It just couldn’t be me.”
“I think it’s a difficult thing to talk about because you don’t know what’s going on in a marriage,” Hostin said. “You know, she’s sitting there, she’s married to the vice president, she was a Democrat
