After four long years off the air, Euphoria finally returns to HBO tonight for its third and final season.
In the years since Euphoria Season 2 had us sobbing over Ashtray (Javon Walton) and laughing over Oklahoma! references, the HBO series’s stars have been catapulted into the stratosphere. Zendaya is a literal global icon, both Colman Domingo and Jacob Elordi have been nominated for Oscars, and Sydney Sweeney is as much of a box office draw as she is a pop culture lightning rod. However, Euphoria‘s cast has also been marked by tragedy; in 2023, star Angus Cloud passed away after overdosing on drugs. All in all, there’s no way this show could come back without reflecting these changes.
